Luke Bible stories for kids

Luke was a doctor and a careful writer who wrote this Gospel for a friend named Theophilus. Luke gives the most detail about Jesus’ birth, including the angel visiting Mary, the shepherds and baby Jesus in the manger. He also shows Jesus’ special care for the poor, women, children and outsiders. Only Luke tells the parables of the Good Samaritan, the lost coin and the prodigal son, and the story of Zacchaeus. Luke later wrote the book of Acts too.
