Meet Tom & Hanna
Curious, brave and full of ideas. Tom loves adventures — and learns that real courage sometimes means standing up for someone else.
Smart, loving and with a big heart. Hanna talks to God about everything — when she is happy, when she is sad, and just to say thank you.
Neighbors Lukas and Emma, Mom and Dad, and Grandma and Grandpa, who live just a few streets away.

The big white moving truck stood in the sunshine. Boxes were stacked almost up to the front door, and everything smelled of fresh paint and adventure. Tom raced through the new house, opening doors and windows, and shouted, “Hanna, come quick! You can see the mountains from up here!”
Hanna followed slowly, her cuddly toy held tight in her arms. “It’s nice … but everything smells so new,” she said quietly.
“That’s the smell of a fresh start,” said Dad, setting down a box. “And the best part: Grandma and Grandpa now live just a few streets away.” Mom smiled. “Then we can see them really often.”
Outside, behind the garden fence, two children stood watching all the bustle. Tom waved excitedly. “Hi! I’m Tom – and this is my sister Hanna!”
The boy waved back. “I’m Lukas! This is my sister Emma. Do you live here now?” “Yes!” Hanna called happily. “We just got here!”
What happens at their first dinner on moving boxes — and why does a rainbow remind them of Noah? Read on in the book.
